Certification Exams

We are pleased to announce that the installer/technician certification program has been updated and the new revised exams are now available to members.

The program is similar to the previous one in that both the Residential and Commercial sections each contain levels 1,2 & 3. Each level now consists of a written exam only with a time limit of 60 minutes to complete the approximately 50 questions. The exams are to be written under management supervision in a CDI member company. The levels may be written all at one time, providing the applicant has worked for a member company for at least three years and has the required certificates for WHMIS, 1st Aid, fall restraint, etc.

To write the exams, simply download them, by clicking here (Members Only, Password required). The member company supervising the test will submit the completed test with payment to CDI National for processing. British Columbia completed tests are to be submitted to the British Columbia Chapter for processing with payment.

The fee for the First Level Exam is $75, and $45 for each additional level. The fee to rewrite any test is $35.Ê All certification tests are subject to G.S.T. at 5%
